Dinesh Desai is a Man with touch of Wit and Verve and is very versatile. His work area spans from Literature to Journalism and Public Speaking. In all this versatility, the unique thing is that, he remains unique. He has been working successfully in Gujarati media, first print and then electronic, for about two decades (1989 to 2010) and then moved to join with the Government of Gujarat, since 2011 respectively.

Actually it is his long standing versatility in the field of Gujarati Literature and Journalism, which has drawn him to public life and become active with Government of Gujarat.

He is very good speaker and regularly gives motivational lectures for the benefits of young generation as well as for various institute in public service. Though he is mother tongue is Gujarati, he has successfully transcend the language boundaries and has contributed to Hindi literature.

He has also written three English books. He is good at poetry and essays on various subjects. As a journalist, he has done some of the best interviews of celebrity in Gujarati journalism.

He also gives regular lecture on many of these subjects. Whatever may be the subject or the form of literature, the hallmark of his writing has been the wit and the verve and, off course, the versatility.

In his long career, he has worked on all the forms of literature. He has written (1) short stories, (2) novels, (3) poetry, especially meaningful Gazals, (4) essays, (5) thought provoking and inspirational articles. He has also edited and compiled books on various subjects, including (6) women empowerment and women liberation, (7) social security, (8) law and order, (9) consumer protection law, (10) environmental Science, (11) education, (12) mass communication, (13) social media, (14) finance and industrial growth as well as agriculture.
